Our Team

Alice Lindsay

Physiotherapist

Alice is a Bass Coast local, having grown up in Cape Paterson and being one of our local sporting legends. Whilst studying physiotherapy, Alice worked for SSS Physiotherapy running clinical pilates classes over a two-year period. After graduating from Latrobe University with a Masters in Physiotherapy and a Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal, she moved to Melbourne to work across many different areas in the Royal Melbourne Hospital. These areas included Musculoskeletal, Trauma and the Emergency Department. Alice then embarked on a travelling holiday around Australia, before recently returning back to Victoria. Alice has joined our SSS team for the remainder of the year and we hope you can benefit from her wealth of knowledge. Alice also has a love for Clinical Pilates, having obtained her APPI certificate.

Shannon Danckert

Physiotherapist

Having completed a bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science at Deakin University, Shannon then moved to the Gold Coast to complete her Masters of Physiotherapy at Griffith University.

Shannon worked on the Gold Coast for 2 years, where she developed her skills in a range of areas with experience in both hospital and private practice, including clinical pilates. 

With a particular interest in musculoskeletal and sport injuries, Shannon has returned to sport rehab and injury prevention. Shannon has a keen interest in shoulder, knee, foot and ankle injuries, alongside post surgical rehabilitation including ACL reconstruction. 

Outside of work, Shannon spends most of her time playing AFL, where she previously played for the Gold Coast Suns AFLW and is currently playing in the VFLW with the Casey Demons. Shannon also enjoys going to the beach, camping, spending time with friends and family and reading.

Caroline Le Quesne

Locum Physiotherapist

Caroline has a keen interest in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy, assisting athletes with biomechanical principles to enhance their performance. Caroline also has a passion for both reformer and mat pilates, with a special focus on improving core strength in patients of all ages.

Kayla Pedley

Clinical Pilates Instructor

Kayla joined our SSS team after completing her Clinical Pilates Diploma with a history of working in the fitness industry. 

Kayla returns to South Gippsland having worked across various gym and Physiotherapy settings in Melbourne. She has a passion for strength and conditioning and is considering a career in Physiotherapy. 

With a strong sporting background and bubbly nature, Kayla enjoys working with clients of all ages and skill levels. Working closely with our Physiotherapists Kayla will provide a personalised and safe rehabilitation program.

Jeanette Draper

Mat Pilates Instructor

Jeanette has been a committed Division 1 and Community Service nurse for 25 years, but her love for Pilates was ignited by joining an SSS class to help improve her long-standing lower back pain. 

Seeing and feeling the results first-hand, Jeanette decided to study Clinical Pilates with Breathe Education so that she could help others achieve the same benefits that she has.

Jeanette has a special interest in Women’s Health – in particular pelvic floor issues that span the lifetime of a woman. She has completed Pelvic Floor courses and continues to learn and share in this field. 

Jeanette runs both Machine Based Pilates classes and Mat and Small Apparatus classes and loves working with people of all skill levels and age groups. 

Sophie Scott

Clinical Pilates Instructor

Sophie graduated from Deakin University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Sport Science, majoring in Physiology. She has also attained her Clinical Pilates Diploma and has become an integral team member with SSS Physiotherapy. 

Sophie is one of our local netball legends with a passion for keeping people mobile and fit for their chosen sports, hobbies and careers. 

Since becoming a mother herself Sophie has taken a further interest in pre and post-natal pilates and women’s health. Sophie continues to do professional development in this area.

Ying Han

Remedial Massage Therapist

Ying has a diploma in remedial massage and has done further studies in myofascial release massage and rehabilitation. Ying worked for a Chinese Medicine practice for 3 years before coming to Australia to explore her opportunities and secure a brighter future. 

Ying works closely with our Physiotherapists to help clients achieve the best possible outcomes with their treatment plans. From pure relaxation to deep tissue massage, Ying is your person to see.

Fully registered with the Massage Association of Australia, Ying’s treatments can be claimed through Private Health Funds.

Blaire Gillies

Exercise Physiologist &
Pilates Instructor

Having completed a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science, plus a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology at Federation University.

Blaire works with chronic diseases/illnesses focusing on how to safely move and exercise, making every individual feel confident to be active. She is interested in working with neurological conditions (including Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease and acquired brain injuries). Other conditions that benefit from Exercise Physiology include cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes and post-operative rehabilitation. 

In addition to this, Blaire works with paediatric populations to enhance their coordination, balance and gross or fine motor skills.

Blaire loves supporting ice hockey and coaching/performing gymnastics.

Lauren (Lola) Hallett

Director
Clinical Pilates Manager

Lola graduated from Deakin University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health/Health Promotion majoring in Physical Activity in 2009.

Through journeys working and travelling and eventually moving to the beloved south Gippsland coast Lola was lucky enough to meet the local hero Jo Meagher and joined SSS Physiotherapy in 2013, working as a Clinical Pilates instructor.

Driven by the strong desire to work uniquely with each client and their personal needs Lola has continued to invest her time in studying. 

Lola now specialises in Clinical Pilates for the rehabilitation and prevention of injuries, pre and post-natal, neurological conditions, scoliosis, effective stretching and pelvic floor fitness and function. 

Lola’s joys with her work are supporting people to live their very best lives within bodies that enable them to do all the things they love most.

STacey Poke

Director
Physiotherapist & Clinical Pilates Instructor

Stacey completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from James Cook University in Townsville and joined the SSS team in early 2017. 

Under Jo’s guidance and mentoring, Stacey has developed her physiotherapy skills to a level that’s highly regarded in South Gippsland. Stacey has a strong focus on musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy, having attended multiple professional development courses.

Stacey is skilled at analysing running biomechanics, allowing athletes to ease and prevent symptoms of ongoing injuries. Stacey performs video analysis at SSS for running assessments of both the elite and backyard athletes.

Stacey has now taken a particular interest in Vestibular Physiotherapy, being one of the only Physiotherapists in Gippsland to provide this service. She continues to do ongoing professional development in this area.

Dedicated to a life of sport and fitness, playing basketball and VFLW at a state level. Her hobbies include running, hiking and anything outdoors.

Lisa SCharnberg

Clinical Pilates &
Strength and Conditioning Instructor 

Lisa is a long-term employee at SSS Physio as a Clinical Pilates Instructor and Strength and Conditioning coach. 

Lisa obtained her Bachelor of Exercise Physiology from Potsdam University in Berlin/Potsdam and has since completed her Clinical Pilates diploma and Strength and Condition certification.

With a diverse skill set, Lisa has a keen interest in sports and musculoskeletal conditions. Being a runner herself, Lisa loves to work with the elite athlete to achieve maximum potential.

Joanna Meagher

Director
Physiotherapist & Clinical Pilates Instructor

Joanna has been practicing physiotherapy since attaining her degree at Latrobe University, back in 1994.

With an extensive background in ‘the world of tennis’, Jo had a stint on the professional circuit, after accepting a scholarship to Oklahoma University from 1985 – 1987.

Jo’s reputation in the medical industry has grown rapidly, with her skills now acknowledged on an international scale. 

Working as a personal physiotherapist to both Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams has been a career highlight. The pinnacle was sitting in the Williams box in 2005 when Jo managed to ‘work her magic’ on Serena, who took out the Australian Open final after an injury-plagued tournament.

With experience across a wide range of sports – including AFL football, district cricket, and international tennis, Jo has continued to expand her service offering over the years.
